Lukashenko offers condolences to Russia president over flood victims

MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – On behalf of Belarusian people and himself Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed condolences to Russia President Vladimir Putin and families of the victims of a flood in Irkutsk Oblast, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“It is with big pain and sorrow that the Republic of Belarus has learned the news about numerous victims and massive destruction caused by the flood in Irkutsk Oblast,” the message of greetings reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko also asked to convey words of sincere support and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. “We wish a speedy recovery to the injured and hope that the flood-hit Russian region will return to normal life as soon as possible,” the head of state said.
