MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has met with Alina Kabaeva of Russia, the 2004 Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics, BelTA informs.
The meeting was held at the Palace of Independence following a ceremony to inaugurate the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Olympic Training Center (Palace of Gymnastics), which was attended by the big-name Russian athlete.
During the nearly 90-minute meeting, Alexander Lukashenko and Alina Kabaeva discussed the latest sports events with a focus on rhythmic gymnastics.
Alina Kabaeva also went on a brief tour of the Palace of Independence.
