Lukashenko meets with Iran's supreme leader in Tehran

TEHRAN, 13 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei during his official visit to Tehran, BelTA has learned.

On 13 March Aleksandr Lukashenko held intense and fruitful talks with the leadership of Iran. Tehran called the visit of the Belarusian leader a turning point, a fresh start for bilateral relations.

Aleksandr Lukashenko held official negotiations with Iran President Ebrahim Raisi in Tehran before noon. As a result of the talks the sides signed a roadmap on all-round cooperation between Belarus and Iran in 2023-2026. A number of documents on expanding Belarus-Iran cooperation were also signed in the presence of the two countries' leaders. Aleksandr Lukashenko estimated the total volume of the agreements at $100 million.
