
MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 9 June, BelTA has learned.
“Lukashenko is meeting with Putin today. The Belarusian leader is paying a working visit to Russia,” the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel informed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke about the planned talks with his Russian counterpart in the near future at a meeting with the secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO member states. "I will soon meet with the Russian president. I will definitely brief him about our meeting. He knows I'm meeting with you today. He has a meeting with the prime ministers tomorrow," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
These days Sochi is hosting the meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the CIS Heads of Government Council as well as a number of events, including the exhibition of cooperation projects “Eurasia – Our Home” and the 3rd Eurasian Congress.
