Lukashenko identifies citizens' welfare, strong state as personal interests of his presidency

MINSK DISTRICT, 23 March (BelTA) – As he visited the Minsk Leather Production Association in Gatovo, Minsk District on 23 March, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said he makes decisions bearing in mind two interests – citizens' welfare and the establishment of a strong state, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “Trust me I've never put forward personal interests. I have no ‘gold mine', I have nothing. All of it is lies and pictures. I had only one thing: I wanted ordinary people to benefit somehow from our projects. And there is also the state. Belarus is a well-established state. I cannot ruin it. These are my interests.”

The president noted that he is ready to support various projects and enterprises bearing in mind these requirements.
