Lukashenko: I don't record my telephone conversations

MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – I do not record my telephone conversations, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with representatives of Ukrainian mass media on 26 September, BelTA has learned.

One of the questions was about the situation when the White House published the transcript of the telephone conversation of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump.

“I can surprise you: I don't record conversations with Putin or Zelensky. We don't have such practice. I was offered to record conversations two times and I said that those were our conversations, there was no need to record them,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The head of state did not exclude that he might start recording telephone conversation someday, but it is not done right now. He explained that such conversations as, for example, with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky focus on future meetings and talks among other thing, and the conversations are conducted in a free and easy tone.
