MINSK, 19 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended Rescuers' Day greetings to workers and veterans of the Belarusian emergency services, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“This service is chosen by the most courageous, brave and selfless people. You are always there where it is dangerous. The purpose and meaning of your work is to save human lives, the result of it is the confidence of Belarusians in their own safety and security,” the congratulatory message reads.

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, Belarusian rescuers, who come to help at a first call, display courage and heroism in the line of duty, continue the work of many generations of their predecessors.
