Lukashenko congratulates Belarusian paralympic swimmer Aleksei Talai on setting world record

MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko extended greetings to member of Belarus' national paralympic team Aleksei Talai on the occasion of his successful performance at the World Series Para Swimming in Italy and on establishing a world record, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“Your victories, an indomitable will, and unparalleled commitment to productive work inspire thousands of Belarusians to overcome difficulties in pursuit of their dreams and to develop the right life philosophy,” the greetings read.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the athlete and his family prosperity, strong health, and success.

At the Paralympic Swimming World Cup stage in Italy's Lignano Sabbiadoro, Belarusian paralympic athlete Aleksei Talai, who performs in the SB1 category, set a new world record in the men's 50m breaststroke – 1:18:42.
