Lukashenko confirms interest in joint projects with South Africa

MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa as the country celebrates Freedom Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state noted that friendly ties between Minsk and Pretoria, as well as the high level of political contacts give confidence in great prospects in various sectors.

“In today's conditions it is especially important to fulfill the previous agreements, to use all the opportunities to expand cooperation,” the message of greetings reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko confirmed his interest in mutually beneficial projects in the energy sector, industry, agriculture, supplies of machinery and equipment, and the establishment of assembly facilities for Belarusian machinery in South Africa.
