GRODNO, 24 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko condemned the attempts to bully law enforcement officers as he addressed a rally in Grodno on 22 August, BelTA has learned.
“I receive the information that here, as well as across the country, some private enterprises encourage people to go on strike. The goal is to take the place of state-owned enterprises on the market,” the president said.
According to him, if a policeman brings a state car for maintenance he is bullied even then. “The instructions come from Poland (we have recorded these phone conversations): bully cops! For what? What will you do if street crime starts to raise? Who are you going to call? 101, 102, 103... These are the phone numbers we have known from childhood,” the president said.
“Don't bully these people. These are your people. Even if they made a mistake somewhere, forgive them!" the Belarusian leader added.
