MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian economy generally performed well in 2022 but the results could have been better, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a meeting on pricing matters, BelTA reports.
"Overall, we could have done better. Despite the difficulties and challenges, we could have done better. The economy did not collapse, as they predicted," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, in turn, cited a curious fact: "Out of 20 European countries, Belarus ranked 17th in terms of inflation, in other words 16 countries had the inflation higher than in Belarus."
