SVETLOGORSK, 14 February (BelTA) – Additional measures are need in the national housing construction sector, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he visited Svetlogorsk House-Building Plant on 14 February, BelTA has learned.
“Housing construction is a big question. It is a driving force behind the economic sector. With building a house, you need a lot to equip it. We need to take a look at what can be done in the sector,” the head of state said.
The state of affairs at the house-building plant, which is placed under the procedure of reorganization, was discussed during the visit to the enterprise. Possible measures to bring the plant to sustainable operation were discussed. The local authorities should actively engage in this process. One of the new immediate orders for the plant will be the construction of a new workshop at the bleached sulfate pulp plant based on Svetlogorsk Pulp and Board Mill, which was agreed upon during the visit of Aleksandr Lukashenko.
