MINSK DISTRICT, 31 December (BelTA) – It is important to continue sustainable economic development in order to ensure peace and stability in the society, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he talked to the staff of the Belarusian Research Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology and journalists on 31 December, BelTA has learned.
“We will cope with economic challenges. We are not afraid of any protests. They are free to protest, like they do now. If they don't cross the red line, they can continue their protests. Once they do they will be held accountable. There should be law and order,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
“We will all survive this. Economy is more important,” the president said.
