MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – On behalf of Belarusian people and himself President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Colombia's President Ivan Duque and all Colombians as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.
The head of state emphasized that Belarus views Colombia as a promising partner in Latin America and is interested in a closer interstate dialogue. A testimony to that is the opening of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Bogota. “I hope that this step will help make the most of cooperation potential of our states, facilitate the implementation of projects in trade and investment, and boost cooperation in science and humanitarian field,” the message reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Ivan Duque good health and many successes and the people of Colombia peace and prosperity.
