Lukashenko: Belarus has recently saved Ukraine from a power grid collapse

MINSK, 28 January (BelTA) – Belarus has recently saved Ukraine from a power grid collapse. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement in his address to the nation and the parliament on 28 January, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked that 15 nuclear power plant units, which were built in the Soviet times, used to generate 50% of electricity in Ukraine. “Today they beg the world for electricity. We've recently saved them from a power grid collapse by supplying the necessary amount of electricity nearly to the detriment of our power grid. And they behave in this manner meanwhile,” the president rebuked the Ukrainian side.
