MINSK, 9 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko is attending the parade organized in Red Square in Moscow in honor of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, BelTA has learned.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin is reviewing the parade. Leaders of other CIS states are present next to him on the stalls. A live broadcast of the event demonstrated how the heads of state arrived in Red Square together. The Russian president had personally greeted every one of them before that.

After the parade the leaders of the countries are expected to lay wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden near the Kremlin walls.

Aleksandr Lukashenko arrived in Moscow on a working visit in the evening on 8 May, on the eve of Victory Day.

BelTA reported earlier that Belarusian cadets, who had won the Cadet of the Year 2022 contest, would also become guests of honor during the Victory Day parade in Moscow.
