Labor pensions to increase by 6.5% in Belarus as from 1 May

MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed the decree “On raising pensions”, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Labor pensions will be recalculated on 1 May 2019 in connection with the growth of the average salary in the republic. Pensioners' actual earnings will be corrected with reference to the average salary in Belarus which was used for the previous recalculation. Labor pensions will increase by 6.5% as a result.

In accordance with the decree, the funds will be provided from the public social security fund.
