
MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – Having considered personnel issues, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko appointed Konstantin Molostov the new Chairman of the State Border Committee, BelTA has learned.
Prior to this appointment, Konstantin Molostov served as Head of the Grodno Border Group.
Anatoly Lappo, who previously headed the State Border Committee, was transferred to the reserve.
Konstantin Molostov was born in the town of Krasnoarmeysk, Saratov Oblast, Russia, on 30 May 1970. He graduated from Almaty Higher Border Command School (1993), the Border Academy of the Federal Security Service of Russia (2004), the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus (2011), the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus (2019).

From 1993 to 2014 Konstantin Molostov served in various units of the border troops. In 2014 he was appointed Head of the Grodno Border Group, the position he held up to this very day.
Konstantin Molostov was awarded the Order for Service to the Homeland 3rd Class, the Medal for Excellence in the State Border Protection, the Medal for Impeccable Service 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class.
