Instructions given to develop reliable means of communication for Belarusian army

MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) – It is necessary to develop reliable means of communication for the military. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement as he authorized the appointment of executives of defense industry enterprises, BelTA has learned.

The head of the Belarusian National Reinsurance Organization Gennady Timoshevich was appointed Director General of the state foreign trade unitary enterprise Belspetsvneshtechnika. The head of the company Agat-Electromechanical Plant Nikolai Baligatov was appointed Director of OAO Agat – Control Systems, the managing company of the holding company Geoinformation Control Systems.

Aleksandr Lukashenko asked the new director of the holding company Geoinformation Control Systems about the operation of the company in detail, including in conditions of Western sanctions. The president drew attention to the need to develop reliable means of communication. “Bearing in mind Ukraine. There is a bunch of problems over there. And it turns out communication was one of them,” he explained.

Nikolai Baligatov told Aleksandr Lukashenko that the solutions the company had developed enable reliable jamming-proof communication.

“So everything is fine here and one can hope that we will not be hindered by any jamming?” Aleksandr Lukashenko asked for a clarification.

The new head of the holding company responded by saying: “We are convinced that our technical solutions will ensure control and survivability of the troops.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko added: “But please check all of it 1,000 times. Try to jam them, break them, and crush them with anything. In order to verify they are reliable. It is a lesson of the Ukrainian operation. Americans and other ones supply radio warfare systems and worked very effectively against the means of communication that Russians used. This is why we have to pay very serious attention to it. And Americans and all the Western specialists already say that radio warfare is irreplaceable in any operation. In other words, radio warfare is a number one problem.”

Nikolai Baligatov informed the president about the performance and social and economic development of enterprises of the holding company. “We have not reduced working days or working hours. Everything proceeds routinely and steadily. We are working smoothly. Our products are in demand today,” he remarked.

Belspetsvneshtechnika's new director Gennady Timoshevich talked about plans to increase export to traditional markets. In his words, some business contacts refuse to work with the enterprise directly due to sanctions, this is why partner companies will be used “to naturalize the product” and build logistic chains.
