MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – Igor Lutsky, who previously led the Stolichnoye Televideniye TV channel (STV), has been appointed Information Minister of Belarus. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the corresponding decision on 4 June, BelTA has learned.

“We had to pull him back [until February 2018, Igor Lutsky worked as First Deputy Information Minister]. I know that STV has changed a lot over the time. Well done! You have learned to work effectively online. I think that with your help we will reformat the Information Ministry first of all. We do not see this ministry. I wish we could see it. We need to vest it with powers, functions and responsibility,” the president said.
