MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – China's Ambassador to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong conveyed the best wishes from Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Belarusian head of state, BelTA has learned.
The Chinese diplomat conveyed the wishes during the informal communication after the credentials ceremony.
The Belarusian president noted that there are the issues on the Belarusian-Chinese agenda that need to be discussed at the highest level. "It is time for us to meet face to face, to talk about very important issues that concern not only Belarus but also China to a greater extent," Aleksandr Lukashenko said. The head of state noted that “we should think about how to do it in the near future.”
When asked by journalists' questions, Ambassador Xie Xiaoyong praised the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation on all fronts, including the importance of mutual support for Belarus and China in the difficult conditions of COVID-19. At present, the Chinese-Belarusian relations of trust-based comprehensive strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation keep developing at a very good pace,” the Chinese ambassador noted.
