MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – The systematic work to strengthen trust in the Belarusian ruble should be continued, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the 5th Belarusian People's Congress on 22 June, BelTA has learned.
“If we do not achieve stable annual inflation rates lower than 5%, it will be difficult to boost the economy in general. The government and the National Bank should continue the systematic work to strengthen trust in the Belarusian ruble, ensure stable growth of the country's gold and foreign exchange reserves and maintain them at the safe level, increase the efficiency of budget expenditures, and reduce the external public debt,” the head of state said.
