MINSK, 24 April (BelTA) – For the sake of ensuring the rational use of working hours, observation of the work and rest schedule and the timely completion of the academic year a decision was made to move school studies from Saturday, 2 May, to Friday, 1 May. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a corresponding decree on 24 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
School students will study on 1 May. The schedule will be harmonized with a calendar and thematic plan taking into account the specifics of education at every institution.
The government, oblast executive committees and the Minsk City Hall were instructed to take measures to ensure the operation of enterprises in charge of the delivery of food to schools and the transportation of students.
