NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK DISTRICT, 25 February (BelTA) - The team of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko finished first in the Minsk Ski Track 2023 biathlon relay race among top officials' teams at the Raubichi Winter Olympic Sports Center on 25 February, BelTA has learned.
The head of state's team comprised outstanding Belarusian athletes Sergei Novikov, Lyudmila Kalinchik, and Olga Nazarova. This time the team of the Belarusian president competed “out of competition”. Their performance can be considered as a kind of a master class from the famous athletes and the president's own example to show all Belarusians how important it is to pay attention to physical education and sport, to follow a healthy lifestyle.
This year the Minsk Ski Track participants had to demonstrate not only good physical fitness, but also their endurance and stamina. Severe weather, strong wind and a mix of snow and rain was a real test of the teams' will to win.
The official standings podium was occupied by the teams of the State Control Committee, the National Olympic Committee and the Minsk City Executive Committee.
The skiers were actively supported by fans. The head of state talked to them briefly after the race. He warmly greeted the crowd, wished them peace and prosperity, to bring up children and engage them in sports.
