There comes the most wonderful time of the year when the past, the present and the future become one thing. And we have only a few seconds to evaluate what we have done, to think about what is ahead of us.
This time warms the cockles of our hearts, unites us in our best feelings and expectations.
You traditionally celebrate New Year with your families and friends.
Of course, our children are the happiest of all of us. School children are on long-awaited vacations.
Dear children, I have a favor to ask you: do not forget about your parents, grandmothers and grandfathers. Invite them to cultural and sports events. Spend this time together. It will bring so many happy moments to them.
Our youth, who are the future of our country, are enjoying this festive time with us. The way we will see Belarus tomorrow depends on every one of us. You should preserve and multiply what we have created.
Today the country especially needs your intellect and energy.
Please remember: home is the place where you are loved and supported most of all.
I would like to address the warmest greetings to our workers of agriculture and industry, our intellectuals, defenders of the Fatherland, the older generation and elderly people. I wish all the best to those who created the first sovereign and independent state on the blessed Belarusian soil, who continue to build its present. We must strengthen our statehood on the principles of honesty and justice, and we must preserve this country for our children and grandchildren.
The departing year helped us feel a special connection with the native land.
It was the first year in the trilogy of years of native land. It reminded us about the springs that give us strength and energy.
It brought us back to our roots, to the places where our hearts beat with excitement, where we recall the most cherished things.
We are united in an aspiration to turn every corner of Belarus into a beautiful and exemplary place.
In the coming year we will need to do our best to adorn our country in greenery and flowers, draw creative inspiration from it, turn it into a place to where you always want to get back.
I cannot but mention those of our fellow citizens who are on duty now: guardians of our lives, those who maintain the military and economic security of Belarus. Thank you very much for your service and commitment!
The year 2018 is coming to an end…
This year was different for every one of us. We lost close people, met new friends, gave birth to and raised children. These are regular things in life. But the main thing is that we preserved peaceful skies for Belarusians, and there is no fear and despair from war in the eyes of our children.
Let's cherish this greatest asset together.
In the last moments of the old year we are taking a look at the shape of the year 2019.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from the Nazi invasion.
This year we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fundamental Law of Belarus.
This year Belarus will host the 2nd European Games.
This will be the year of hard work, victories and losses. Together we can do the impossible. We will definitely overcome all barriers and secure the future of our Homeland.

I hope that our native Belarus with its natural wealth, magnificent and spiritually uplifting cultural legacy, wise, kind and hardworking people will prosper and live in peace and accord forever.
