Belarus president on working trip to Grodno Oblast

IVYE, 21 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko is paying a working visit to Ivye District, Grodno Oblast, BelTA has learned.

The head of state will be briefed on the progress in the harvesting campaign and field works across the country and the region, and also on the social and economic development of Grodno Oblast and Ivye District. The president will visit LidaTekhmash company to get familiar with its performance and development prospects, and the technological process of producing farming machinery.

Aleksandr Lukashenko is also expected to visit the Ivye community center which is currently hosting an exhibition of arts and crafts.

The community center is home to four amateur groups that bear the people's title: a choir, a theater, the music ensemble Chabarok and the Zelenyi Furgon theater. The arts and crafts center based there specializes in straw weaving, needlework, Belarusian doll making, and belt weaving.

LidaTekhmash makes part of the limited liability company Tekhmash. The company produces agricultural equipment, including tilling machines and other parts, harvesters.

In H1 2019 the company produces goods worth more than Br7.6 million, up 43% year-on-year. Profitability of sales made up 13.5%. The export of goods exceeded $3 million. The company sells its products to Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. The company employs some 130 people. The average salary is Br1024.
