MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – The website Legal Forum of Belarus has been chosen as the main digital platform for discussing draft legislation with the general public. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the relevant decree on 10 July, BelTA has learned.
The decree is designed to improve the legal quality of draft legislation, introduce electronic document management into lawmaking practices, and enable optimal conditions for interaction of government agencies and organizations in the course of preparing, passing, and disseminating legal acts to the general public.
In order to achieve these goals, the Justice Ministry will have to play a more prominent role in the lawmaking process. The justice minister now bears personal responsibility for the quality of draft legislation.
Apart from that, the presidential decree clarifies procedures for passing and disseminating technical regulations.
