He stressed that in the current situation Belarus is becoming the main logistics hub in the region. “Today Brest, Baranovichi are the hubs of the new Silk Road. Millions and billions tonnes of cargo, huge money and cargo from China to Western Europe cross this region. It is a center of attraction for information infrastructure and most advanced manufacturing and logistics technologies,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The head of state instructed the Brest Oblast administration to pool efforts with the government and start upgrading the rolling stock and transport infrastructure of the region.
