Belarus appoints new ambassadors to Lithuania, France

MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has appointed new ambassadors to Lithuania and France, BelTA has learned.

Belarus' interests in Lithuania will be represented by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Valery Baranovsky. He previously worked as head of the foreign policy department of the Belarus President's Administration.

The diplomatic mission to France will be led by Igor Fisenko, the former head of the main consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He will also hold the post of Belarus' permanent representative to UNESCO.
