MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed Sergei Terentiev non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Algeria, BelTA has learned.
At present Sergei Terentiev is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt and is concurrently accredited to Sudan and Oman. In addition to that, he is Belarus' Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also appointed a permanent plenipotentiary representative of Belarus to the charter and other bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States. This work will be done by Marina Dolgopolova. In 2013-2018 she led the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Latvia.
Belarus will also have a new consul general in Shanghai. This job will be taken over by Andrei Andreyev who led the Chief Organization and Control Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
