MINSK, 24 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed Decree No.137 to confer the Order of Mother on 60 women from Brest Oblast, Vitebsk Oblast, Grodno Oblast, and Mogilev Oblast, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The award for giving birth to and raising five and more children was bestowed upon women from all walks of life, including women working in the manufacturing industry, financial, and agricultural sector, trade, education, healthcare and culture, mass media, the Armed Forces, and housewives.
Among the award recipients are cook at Brest Kindergarten-Nursery No.30 Olga Davidovich, fashion designer at the Polesye company Marina Litvin, pharmacist at Brest enterprise Pharmacy Tatyana Kozeka, housewife from Volkovysk Leokadia Yagelnitskaya, photographer at the Vesnik Glybochchyny newspaper Yelena Menzhinskaya, and nurse at Cherikov District Central Hospital Marina Matveyeva.
