MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) - Leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov has congratulated Aleksandr Lukashenko on the victory in the Belarus presidential election, BelTA has learned.
“This is not just your victory. This is a victory of wisdom and common sense of the Belarusian people over the destructive forces, the victory of creativity over the forces of the evil and destruction,” the telegram says.
“The choice of the Belarusian people is clear. You have won trust and authority thanks to many years of work for the benefit of your country,” Gennady Zyuganov said.
He expressed confidence that Aleksandr Lukashenko's rich political experience will help Belarus follow the right course of development, prosperity, friendship and unity, the strengthening of the Union State of Slavic nations.
Gennady Zyuganov also wished happiness and wellbeing to the people of Belarus.
