Zimbabwe president arrives in Belarus on official visit

MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa has arrived in Belarus on an official visit. The president was welcomed at the airport by Head of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate Viktor Sheiman and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas, BelTA has learned.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is set to hold talks with Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa on 17 January. The meeting will take place in the Palace of Independence. The heads of state will discuss the development of political, trade and economic contacts, promising areas for strengthening bilateral cooperation, first of all, in trade and investment, the implementation of joint projects. The two presidents are also expected to sign a number of international documents.

The visit of the president of Zimbabwe envisages an eventful program, including meetings with Belarusian businessmen.
