MOSCOW, 21 June (BelTA) - State Secretary of Belarus' Security Council Stanislav Zas met with members of the Belarusian diaspora in the village of Baltika, Iglin District during the visit to the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation on 20 June, BelTA learned from the press service Belarusian Embassy in Russia.
Stanislav Zas got familiar with the history of the Belarusians who move to live in Bashkortostan in the late 19th - early 20th centuries, saw the exhibits on display in the historical and cultural center, visited the library, which received books form Belarus, and talked to members of the diaspora and participants of the Syabry folk group.
“Stanislav Zas also met with senior officials of the Iglin district and Baltika village administrations to discuss the assistance to the Belarusian diaspora. The meeting was also attended by the head of the Belaurs Embassy Office in Ufa Piotr Baltrukovich,” the press service said.
