MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) - China has not got into a trap of the Western logic and promotes peaceful development of all countries, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong said at the round table “China on the Road to Development and Renewal" in the House of Friendship on 28 March, BelTA has learned.
“The choice of the path of peaceful development is the Communist Party's response to the requests of the international community about the trends of China's development, as well as a reasonable choice of the Chinese people to achieve their own development goals,” the diplomat said.
He said: “China has not fallen into the trap of Western logic, according to which ‘a strong country must necessarily strive for hegemony'. China not only develops itself, defending world peace, but also defends world peace at the expense of its own development, which benefits both China and the world.”
