Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine in session in Minsk

MINSK, 2 July (BelTA) - Another meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on resolving the situation in Ukraine's east is in progress in Minsk, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group was preceded by the meetings of its working groups.

The previous meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group took place in Minsk on 19 June. The Security Working Group discussed the prospects of a ceasefire and disengagement of forces in the vicinity of Stanitsa Luganskaya. OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on resolving the situation in Ukraine's east Martin Sajdik said that the parties showed interest in the so-called “bread ceasefire” but that the text of the statement was yet to be agreed on. Martin Sajdik also expressed the hope that the separation of forces and means would happen but the exact date could not be set yet.
