Сooperation between Belarusian consulate, Turkish MFA Istanbul Office discussed in Istanbul

MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) - Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul Aleksei Shved paid a courtesy call to the newly appointed representative of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Istanbul Ambassador Ayse Sozen Usluer, BelTA learned from the Belarusian foreign mission.

The Belarusian diplomat expressed sincere condolences over a series of earthquakes in southeastern Turkey which claimed numerous lives. He expressed words of support to the families of the victims and noted Belarus' readiness to help.

The parties exchanged views on the situation in the region, highlighted the friendly and constructive nature of bilateral relations between Belarus and Turkey. The parties also discussed a number of general and specific consular issues and talked over the procedure of interaction between the Belarusian Consulate General and the Istanbul office of the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
