Schedule of Belarus-Peru high-level contacts discussed in Moscow

MOSCOW, 8 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Semashko met with Luis Benjamin Chimoy Arteaga, Ambassador of Peru to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus, in Moscow on 8 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

“The parties exchanged opinions on the prospects for bilateral cooperation in politics, trade and economy,” the press service noted. “The ambassadors focused on the schedule of contacts at the high level, the development of the legal framework of bilateral relations, and cooperation between business circles of the two countries,” the press service added.

Belarus and Peru established diplomatic relations on 19 February 1997. In January-August 2019, Belarus-Peru trade totaled $11.5 million.
