Russian prime minister speaks against unilateral sanctions, dictate in international scene

MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Russia is against unilateral sanctions and dictate in the international scene. Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin made the statement as he met with his Belarusian counterpart Roman Golovchenko on 27 May, BelTA has learned.

Mikhail Mishustin said: “The Russian Federation is unambiguously against unilateral sanctions and dictate in the international scene. We call for not politicizing the situation with the Ryanair flight's emergency landing in Minsk and support the stance of Belarusian partners in favor of a transparent international investigation by aviation authorities.”

The Russian prime minister also touched upon economic cooperation. “We saw an increase in mutual trade in Q1 2021. We cannot but be glad about it. On the whole, trade and economic cooperation develops rather successfully. Belarusian exports are shipped via Russian ports ahead of schedule. We continue fighting the coronavirus together. We've managed to start the production of the Sputnik V vaccine in Belarus. Apart from that, we are gradually resuming air service,” Mikhail Mishustin noted.
