Russian foreign minister to visit Belarus on 20-21 November

MOSCOW, 15 November (BelTA) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit Belarus on 20-21 November, BelTA quoted Russian Foreign Ministry official spokeswoman Maria Zakharova as saying.

“On 20-21 November, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will travel to Belarus on a working visit to attend a joint board meeting of the foreign ministries of the two countries,” Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing on 15 November.

According to her, Sergei Lavrov is scheduled to hold a meeting with Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei. “The parties are set to discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral relations, foreign policy interaction, the status of implementation of the provisions of the joint statement by the presidents of Belarus and Russia of 19 June. Special consideration will be given to integration cooperation,” Maria Zakharova said. In addition, the ministers will exchange views on major international and regional issues.
