MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping may hold talks in Beijing this October, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev said at the Russian-Chinese strategic security consultations in Moscow, TASS informs.
"The summit talks may take place in Beijing in October as part of the Russian head of state's participation in the Belt and Road International Forum's events," Nikolay Patrushev said.
He noted that the relations between Moscow and Beijing are based on the principles of respect, non-interference in each other's domestic affairs and mutual support on the international stage. "This approach has been repeatedly confirmed at the highest level, particularly during the Chinese leader's visit to Russia this spring," the head of the Russian Security Council noted.
