MOSCOW, 6 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia will find solutions acceptable for both sides to all issues. President of Russia Vladimir Putin made the statement at a session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in the Kremlin on 6 April, BelTA has learned.
Vladimir Putin welcomed participants of the session, who had come to Moscow: “Everything is familiar for you. Not strange. Your own.” He stressed that Belarus and Russia maintain tight cooperation within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
Vladimir Putin went on saying: “The governments and the parliaments have worked hard to prepare today's meeting. Essentially, we are gathered only to record results of your work. I'd like to thank you for your work and express hope that if there are any issues we have yet to reconcile (although I don't see any), if something comes up in the course of live communication and real work, then we will undoubtedly reconcile them and come up with solutions acceptable for both sides as we always have in the course of our joint work.”
Participants of the session are expected to review progress of fulfillment of the main guidelines on implementing provisions of the Union State Foundation Treaty for the 2021-2023 period and progress of fulfillment of Union State programs. The development of the security concept of the Union State will be another key topic.
Traditionally some of the items on the agenda of the Supreme State Council session will be related to current activities within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Participants of the session will sum up results and will discuss joint work for the coming period.
