Polish parliamentary delegation to visit Belarus on 6-7 June

MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – A Polish parliamentary delegation led by Stanislaw Karczewski, the Marshal (Chairman) of the Senate of Poland, will travel to Belarus on a working visit on 6-7 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian upper house of parliament.

Chairman of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich will meet with the Polish delegation. The speakers will also take part in the Belarusian-Polish economic forum Good Neighborliness 2019.

“For the first time the forum will be held in several venues and will cover the priorities for bilateral partnership: interregional cooperation, transportation services, information technology. Traditionally businesses of the two countries will hold a business matchmaking event. Belarusian and Polish experts will discuss the prospects for cooperation in science and education in a meeting at the Belarusian State Technological University. Grodno will host a discussion of the Belarusian-Polish cross-border projects,” the Council of the Republic informed.

Mikhail Myasnikovich and Stanislaw Karczewski are set to visit Grodno on 6 June to meet with the participants of the forum and also representatives of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, Brest Oblast Executive Committee, and the oblast council of deputies. On 7 June the speakers are expected to attend a plenary session of the forum in Minsk.

“The talks will focus on the Belarusian-Polish cooperation. The parties will take stock of the progress made in the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Belarusian parliamentary delegation to Poland led by Mikhail Myasnikovich in February 2019,” the press service said.
