MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Belarus needs to fast-track the process of joining the SCO as much as possible, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he introduced new Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik to the staff of the ministry, BelTA has learned.
“We need to keep focus on the integration with our main partner - the Russian Federation and the integration associations: the EAEU, the CIS, the SCO. We need to defend our interests in the organizations we are already part of and to fast-track the process of joining the SCO as much as possible," Roman Golovchenko said.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs should not be a third-party observer regarding the integration agenda in the Union State," the prime minister said.
