Plans to start separating forces in Stanitsa Luganskaya in Ukraine on 10 June

MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – Plans have been made to start separating forces in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya on 10 June, BelTA learned from the OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on resolving the situation in Ukraine's east Martin Sajdik on 5 June.

The subgroup on security discussed prospects of resuming the ceasefire. “The sides also mentioned the intention to start separating forces and assets in the agreed area in Stanitsa Luganskaya on 10 June. It would be genuine progress,” Martin Sajdik said.

The subgroup on humanitarian affairs continued discussing the exchange of captives. A detailed discussion about search for missing persons took place. Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross took part in it.

The subgroup on economic affairs focused on topical issues of water supply in Donetsk Oblast and Lugansk Oblast on both sides of the contact line.

The subgroup on political affairs continued discussing matters concerning the implementation of the Steinmeier formula, the amnesty, and municipal elections.

Martin Sajdik mentioned constructive discussions during the session of the trilateral contact group and during sessions of the subgroups. “It inspires optimism,” he said.
