Pashinyan: EAEU has proved its viability and grows stronger year by year

YEREVAN, 1 October (BelTA) – The Eurasian Economic Union has proved its viability since its inception and grows stronger year by year. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan made the relevant statement during the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Yerevan on 1 October, BelTA has learned.

“The organization has been growing stronger every year for five years already. It has proved its viability and appeal as an international integration association,” Nikol Pashinyan said. Armenia has made a strong contribution to its development as a presiding country.

Nikol Pashinyan pointed out it is necessary to address a number of issues of vital importance for advancing cooperation and making it more effective. In particular, the number includes the removal of barriers standing in the way of free labor movement inside the Eurasian Economic Union, barriers preventing the formation of the common labor market, the mutual recognition of digital signatures that are needed to enable unhindered access of potential suppliers to digital tenders.

“The integration process will be more dynamic if our citizens see that our work results in decisions to address sensitive issues, in the immediate improvement of their lives and job conditions. I am convinced that persistent efforts in this field will allow effectively dismantling barriers and facilitating fuller integration on principles of equality, mutual benefit, and respect for each other's interests,” Nikol Pashinyan stressed.
