
MINSK, 15 September (BelTA) – Belarus-Vietnam partnership is robust and full of promise. Sergei Klishevich, a member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Chairman of Belarus' Communist League Youth, made the statement as he met with Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Central Committee of Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), candidate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Klishevich and Bui Quang Huy discussed the geopolitical situation in the world as well as initiatives for Belarus-Vietnam cooperation in the sphere of youth policy. The Vietnamese side accepted the invitation to visit Belarus and expressed readiness to realize a number of projects to bolster friendship between Belarusian and Vietnamese young people.
In particular, Bui Quang Huy noted the sides could implement joint initiatives in the sphere of science and technology and could launch youth startups. He also noted that young Vietnamese have a warm and friendly attitude towards the Belarusian nation. “The Vietnamese remember and will never forget Belarusians' contribution to our victory in the fight for Vietnam's freedom and independence. And it is a good foundation for realizing any joint initiatives,” he stressed.
Sergei Klishevich said: “Belarus-Vietnam friendship is based on historical roots that go back to the Soviet period. It makes our partnership strong and promising at present.” The MP remarked that just like Vietnam Belarus had paid a high price for its freedom and independence. “This is why we practice a careful attitude towards reinforcement and development of our states,” he said. “The experience of work with youth, introduction of scientific and technical achievements into the social and economic life of the society, trade and economic cooperation in various spheres are the areas where our states can successfully cooperate in the name of enhancing the wellbeing of our nations and of building a new fair world order.”
