NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 16 May (BelTA) - During the visit to Azerbaijan to attend the special meeting of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Valery Mitskevich and Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Valery Belsky met with Chairman of the Working Group on Cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus in the Parliament of Azerbaijan Ziyad Samadzade.
“Mutual understanding and trust formed between the MPs of our countries give us confidence that our relations will continue developing for the benefit of the peoples of Belarus and Azerbaijan,” Valery Mitskevich said.
According to the vice-speaker, the potential for cooperation is still hugely untapped. It is high time the parties set specific steps to activate inter-parliamentary cooperation - hold a meeting of the parliamentary friendship groups and develop a road map for the bilateral cooperation.
