MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) – NATO, in its fight against Russia, uses Ukraine as a gray zone, political expert Piotr Petrovsky said in an interview with ONT TV Channel, BelTA has learned.
“The main reason for all these actions [Russian special operation in Ukraine] is not just a geopolitical situation, when Ukraine is used by NATO as a gray zone in its confrontation with Russia. It is also the current humanitarian situation in Ukraine, where in fact a nationalist and profascist civil society is being created,” Piotr Petrovsky said.
According to the political scientist, for the nationalist Ukrainian ideology, it is not the citizen but the nation that is primary. This ideology is built exclusively on the ethnic principle - Ukraine for Ukrainians. “The nationalities that live there must give up their language, culture, assimilate and accept the myth (not even a Ukrainian, but a nationalist one) that is being spread there,” he added.
