Opinion: Migrants are a mirror of the fascist democracy of the West

MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – Migrants have become a mirror that reflects the fascist democracy of the West, BelTA learned from Nikolai Shchekin, Candidate of Philosophy, Head of the Sociology of Public Administration Department at the Sociology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Nikolai Shchekin said: “Instead of simply being toxic for the entire world Lithuania has de facto become a concentration camp of the 21st century collective West. The country demonstrates complete bankruptcy of the Lithuanian democratic development model, political incompetence of its elite, and an economic myth about a highly developed country. The bandits and terrorists in the Lithuanian government have removed their masks and have confirmed their adherence to the Nazi ideology and to fascism-based mechanisms for running the country. Rhetoric and hypotheses of the expert community regarding search for a sacred victim are coming true. I am convinced the Belarusian society has been shocked by such actions that resemble atrocities of the Nazi in Belarus during the Great Patriotic War. Methods of Lithuanian butchers are simple – beatings, the baiting of women and kids, torture. I have to admit it is only the beginning of bloody reprisals against the refugees. Migrants have become a mirror of the fascist democracy of the West and uncovered the true face of Nazi intentions of the collective West.”

Nikolai Shchekin believes that on the one hand Lithuania is a failed state. On the other hand, the collective West's patronage encourages the impunity of state terrorism. “The purpose is to deliver yet another but painful blow to the image of Belarus and discredit President Aleksandr Lukashenko personally. I think that at the same time security services of Western Europe countries are accomplishing their own goals concerning Belarus – to create a locus of military conflict, religious tensions, and conditions for a full-scale sanction-based offensive. Migrants have become a dangerous thermonuclear weapon in hands of political adventurists of Western countries,” he noted.

Nikolai Shchekin is convinced that a complex of provocations will be staged not only at the border within the next few weeks. “A carousel of provocations, pressure, and defamation is in full swing. The way the events unfold tells me that there will be more victims. Belarus should be ready not only for a new reality but for rapidly changing circumstances. The emergency that has happened indicates that security services of neighboring countries are in a rush because time goes fast and the initiative has been retaken by the Belarusian society, which supported the head of state and separated itself from aggressive and extremist actions of the collective West,” he stressed. “The president's instruction to investigate this incident in detail and scrupulously is the right and timely decision. Moreover, there is a great probability that a criminal case will be opened. It would be logical to call for a session of the UN Security Council. The condemnation of the criminal regime of Lithuania and the introduction of sanctions against it are on the agenda.”
